From The Owner:
This Manufactured Home was original when purchased in 2011. Since then we have made all the improvements listed below:
1.We stained & applied the log siding leaving the original siding underneath. 1” foam board insulation & 1” furring strips were attached to the exterior & covered with Tyvek house wrap.
2.Most of the paneling inside was covered with 3/8” sheet rock & finished. In addition, 1 wall in 2 of the bedrooms were done with knotty pine planks. With all of the added layers comprising the exterior walls they are 7 to 8 layers thick, making the home extremely well insulated.
3.The ceilings were finished in 1/4” sheet rock & finished as well. We then replaced all of the ceiling light fixtures & added ceiling fans as well.
4.“Allure” all vinyl flooring was installed throughout the home.
5. The hallway bathroom was remodeled with a new vanity, sink, faucets, toilet & light fixtures. The counter top was also tiled. In the master bath it was remodeled as well. The tub was removed & replaced with a large walk- in shower & a bench. Electrical wiring was improved & 2 medicine cabinets were installed. We replaced the vanity with reclaimed barn wood vanity & double copper sinks & faucets as well as new light fixtures. The towel rack in the master bath is unique as it is made from reclaimed wood from an old mining campsite.
6.) In the Kitchen, we added all new cabinets, sink, faucet & appliances. We also tiled the counters & the back splashes .In the Laundry room / back entry we also replaced the cabinets & lighting.
7. We changed all of the panel doors to Cedar plank handmade doors with new door handles & added new blinds and bamboo curtains replaced closet doors. Both the sliding glass door & the rear storm door were replaced.
8.The redwood decking & railing was run through a plainer, stained & put back in place as well as enlarging the deck by three feet.
9.The roof of the home & woodshed, recently have been, replaced with a metal roof.
10 Outside the driveway paths are rock lined & a turnabout was created next to the garage. Most of the property has been cleaned up & lower branches on the trees were removed for fire mitigation.
As long as we have lived here we have made this home ours in several ways. There are certain things I will miss about this property. Deer are always present here & wandering around the yard. At night when the skies are clear you can enjoy the stars & Milky Way. No matter what the weather the Sangres are an amazing site to be seen. While the road may be a little rough once you are home it feels like a little peaceful island in the forest.
